Indomie Mi Goreng Homemade Sauce Recipe from Scratch

 

For when you are craving fried noodle Indomie Mi Goreng instant noodle, but want to make it a tad healthier and homemade.

Recipe:

Serving size: 3 servings

Sauce recipe:

  • 2.5 TBsp kecap manis (ABC Sweet Soy Sauce)
  • 2 tsp soy sauce (Pearl River Bridge Superior Light Soy Sauce)
  • 2 tsp dark soy sauce (LEE KUM KEE - PREMIUM DARK SOY SAUCE)
  • 1 TBsp oyster sauce (LEE KUM KEE - PREMIUM OYSTER FLAVOURED SAUCE)
  • 5 tsp Sriracha (currently using FIREBARNS SRIRACHA hot sauce, any sriracha is ok)
  • 2.5 tsp sesame oil (Cold pressed Sesame Oil (light color one, not the roasted dark color one))
  • 2.25 tsp asian chicken powder (LEE KUM KEE - CHICKEN BOUILLION POWDER)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (any brand)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder (any brand)
  • 0.35 tsp white pepper (any brand) (slightly more than 1/4 tsp)

Noodle needed:

  • 170 gram of noodle OR 3 blocks of Y & Y 3 Minute Chow Mein Noodles

Optional toppings:

  • Fried egg
  • Fried shallots
  • Fried onions

Directions

  • Prepare all the ingredients into a bowl first to mix
  • Boil 170 gram noodles of choice and follow direction. 
  • Drain noodles and put into pan, drizzle sauce on it on a low heat to ensure sauces are mixed together
  • Served topped with optional fried egg or fried shallots or fried onions
