This is a love story. A @ucla love story. I moved from Indonesia to Los Angeles to attend UCLA for college. Graduated in 2005 and worked. Got into @uclaanderson and even met my husband (who is also a double Bruin). Had planned to return to Indonesia to start a microfinance company to help empower Indonesian women through entrepreneurship. Instead stayed and work in technology. Got laid off in 2012 from a tech job, and started Kasih Co-op and stayed on doing it until now. Kasih Co-op prioritize working with female artisans in bringing in Indonesian handcrafted goods. 55% of the artisans we work with are women owned. Have two lovely children that are indoctrinated to be future Bruins. Back at UCLA in 2023 and awarded @uclaalumni Bruin Business 100. Again now in 2025 bringing it full circle to have our hand dyed batik scarves and bandanas for sale at @fowlermuseum gift store. 😍😍 Come stop by and visit our UCLA love story, from Indonesia to Los Angeles. #ucla #bruin #batik #wearableart #uclaalumni
